Twenty years ago, Britain Chevrolet opened its doors in Greenville, Texas, with a simple belief: treat people the way you would want to be treated.

That belief became the foundation for everything that followed.

Today, as we celebrate this incredible milestone, we aren’t measuring the journey by the number of years alone. We’re thinking about the people who filled those years with meaning, the families, friends, employees, neighbors, and drivers who allowed us to be part of their journey.

Some came from right here in Greenville and Hunt County. Others made the drive from Commerce, Caddo Mills, Royse City, Sulphur Springs, Terrell, Rockwall, Dallas, and communities throughout Northeast Texas.

Some traveled from much farther away.

Every one of them became part of our story.

 

Where It All Began

When Byron and Misty Britain opened Britain Chevrolet in 2006, they were building more than a dealership.

They were building a family business. The early days came with plenty of challenges. Their children Macey and Brady Britain grew up around the dealership, surrounded by the people and activity that came with building something from the ground up.

It wasn’t always easy. But it was theirs.

Through hard work, long days, and a commitment to doing business with integrity, the dealership continued to grow.

The facility changed. The team expanded. The automotive industry transformed.

The principles behind the business remained.

Work hard. Be honest. Take care of people. Stand behind your word.

Those simple ideas became the foundation of what customers now know as the Britain Difference.

Greenville Will Always Be Home

There is a difference between having a business in a community and being part of that community.

For Britain Chevrolet, Greenville, Texas, has always been home. We’ve been fortunate to grow alongside the people who live and work here.

We’ve watched families grow, welcomed familiar faces back through our doors, and had the privilege of supporting local causes, schools, nonprofits, events, and community initiatives that make Greenville and the surrounding communities special.

The relationships we’ve built here mean more to us than any statistic ever could.

Greenville gave us the place to begin. Our customers gave us a reason to keep going.

One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been seeing how far people are willing to travel to do business with us.

We’ve welcomed drivers from Commerce and Caddo Mills, families from Royse City and Sulphur Springs, and customers from Terrell, Rockwall, Dallas, and other communities throughout Northeast Texas.

We’ve also had people make the trip from across Texas, and even from outside the state.

Why?

Because sometimes people are willing to travel farther when they believe the experience will be different.

For those who can’t make the drive to our dealership, we’ve also worked with customers remotely and helped arrange vehicle delivery options, making it possible to experience the Britain Difference from miles away.

A customer’s location doesn’t have to determine the quality of their experience.

Over the years, we’ve learned that people remember the experience surrounding a purchase.
